Welcome to Lingua Marin, a German Language School in San Rafael, Marin County, California! We offer German language classes for children and adults at all levels. We always have small classes so that we can give each student the personal attention he or she deserves. Lingua Marin is different from other German language schools, because we tailor the course to suit the students. We select books and multimedia to match the level, interests, and objectives of the pupils.
We use language immersion whenever possible because we think it is the most effective way to learn for most people. We are the only school in Marin to offer German for Germans.
For children, we use a narrative approach, meaning that the curriculum is based on a story that unfolds throughout the year. We make extensive use of songs and rhythm that help to reinforce the learning process. We specialize in native language teaching, offering classes at the level your child would learn German in German-speaking Europe.
We specialize in native language instruction for children who speak German at or close to mother-tongue level. We use teaching materials used in German schools, specially adapted for students who live abroad.
Currently, our lessons are held at various locations in Marin, including Tiburon, Mill Valley and San Rafael. We always try to use locations to accommodate the busy schedules of our clients.
